Kenya’s second republic

“As a country, we have come of age. We deserve to enjoy the national euphoria occasioned by the historic August 4 Referendum.

When the results were announced by the Interim Independent Electoral Commission, the victory became common property of all Kenyans. The “Yes” and “No” divide ceased. Last Friday each Kenyan stood tall and was proud of our country’s monumental achievement.

We earnestly embarked on our journey to constitutional rebirth in 1989 on the heels of the General Election of the previous year. Twenty one years later today, we shall, together as one people, have enacted our own home grown Constitution. After the twists and turns of two decades, we shall have overhauled our constitutional structure in peace time. By African and even world standards, this is a feat.” President Mwai Kibaki.

Barbecue 22.08.10

Kenyans in Manitoba recently had a barbecue in honor of the Kenyan soccer team that really put up a fight at the African Cup league. The barbecue was well organised and attended by most members. We would like to thank all of you for availing yourselves and your families, and for making this day one to remember. There was music brought to us by our Kenyan born Winnipeg Djs Dennis and Owen. Famous playwright Shakespeare once said, “If music be the food of love; play on.” and what more to unite us in love than food and music? There was time for introduction as we all realized that the group had grown and people did not know each other. The day also featured a classic soccer game between the youth and wazee that saw the “wazees” exhibit their dribbling skills on the pitch to the max. All in all we had fun to the max and we thank everyone

Those of you who did not make it still have a chance to come for the second one this coming Saturday. This time it will be a pot luck BBQ as we intend to raise funds for the late Mr. Thomas Kinyanjui who passed away at the Health Science Center, Winnipeg, MB. See you there.

Payday Lenders Can Help

The Solution for Unplanned Expenses – Payday Lenders?

payday lendersWe all know what it’s like to be broke before payday. You want to hide from the rest of the world, locked away in your room till your next salary date but that’s not possible in the real world. There’s always something unexpected that pops up out of nowhere and you are left worrying as to where you can get hold of some cash. Constantly asking the family to help will only annoy them and asking a loan from a bank is too much of a hassle. In times like these, a company providing people with a shortterm loan can be asked for assistance. This is where payday lenders like gimmedosh could come in.

An advance on your salary

Wanting to get any household item fixed or need money to sign up for an important course? Money is what you need to make things work. We don’t realize how dependent we are on it till we get to a point where we have none. With ever growing expenses, a lot of families end up being broke a week before their salaries. Within that week, one can feel very vulnerable and no matter how hard you try, there’s always something that needs to be looked into. With the help of a payday lender, you can now attend to that particular issue without the worries of anyone finding out about your financial situation. Asking someone for money is not far from being a cry for help, but through this method, you can guarantee that you won’t have to ask anyone for help again.

A stress-free alternative

Unlike asking a bank for a loan, a payday lender can provide you with an easy alternative. All you have to do is go online and fill in the short application form. Once you submit it, you’ll know whether you’re loan has been approved or not. You can pay your loan within 3 days or you can take a maximum of 30 days to pay the amount back to the lenders. Depending on when you’ll get your salary, you can apply for a shortterm loan accordingly. So you don’t end up being broke at the time of emergency and you have enough to cover the basics. Providing you with a financial solution within a couple of hours, this is a fast and secure way of transferring a loan to your bank account.

Keeping you out of debt

With credit cards and bank loans, it is very easy to get carried away. One can start focusing on what they want rather than what they need, resulting in a spend thrift behavior. Though it might be fun for the time being, it can turn into a huge mess within a couple of days. Being in debt is never easy and once you get caught up, it is close to impossible to get out of it. With the help of a payday lender, you can avoid getting into such a situation. Because it provides short term financial solutions, the amount can be easily returned once the wages are transferred into the bank making you feel stress-free.

If you are caught in a situation where you need financial assistance, waiting for your pay to arrive is not very practical. It could be something as important as paying the electricity or heating bills. You wouldn’t want to end up in trouble just because you couldn’t come up with the money. With the help of shortterm loans, you can pay whatever pending bills that come your way, without having to worry about not being able to provide your family with the basic necessities of life. Easy, accessible and fast, short term payday loans are what many people count on to get them out of a rough spot.
